EDUCATION
Dr. Michael Munaretto attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He graduated with Bronze Tablet Honors, the highest academic honor at Illinois (top 3% of students).
Dr. Michael was then accepted into the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry and ultimately earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Dr. James R. Havera award for earning the highest academic and clinical grade point average in his class. During his four years in dental school, Dr. Michael earned several more awards including the Dr. William McElroy Award for achievement in Endodontics, the Dr. Gerald Wine Award for interaction with patients, and the Delta Sigma Delta Award for most outstanding academic achievement. Finally, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honors society.
Upon graduation, Dr. Michael was immediately accepted into the post-doctoral specialty program in Endodontics at University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry. During his residency Dr. Michael earned a Master’s Degree in Oral Sciences following successful defense of his thesis utilizing Cone-Beam Computed Tomography to detect the position of the mental foramen.
PROFESSIONAL
Dr. Michael joined Cameo Dental Specialists in 2013 and has worked primarily at the LaGrange location since 2017.
Dr. Michael achieved board certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
