MEDICAL CAREER

A native of Riverside, IL, and son of Cameo founder Dr. Ray Munaretto, Dr. Alex Munaretto received his Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Bronze Tablet. Upon graduation from U of I, he went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D.) from the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society (OKU). After graduating from dental school, he matched to the 6-year, dual degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at University of Illinois-Chicago where he completed is Doctor of Medicine (MD). During his undergraduate and graduate education, Dr. Munaretto participated in research in multiple topics including cephalometric analysis for orthognathic surgery.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE AND LAURELS

Dr. Munaretto’s professional organization memberships include: American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

INTERESTS AND PHILANTHROPY

Dr. Munaretto lives in West Loop with his wife, Dr. Jenna Munaretto, young daughter, and dog. He enjoys going out to restaurants with his family and friends, traveling, and going on fishing trips with his twin brother.
