As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon he is better prepared than any other type of dental specialist to perform third molar surgery, dental implants, and intravenous anesthesia (sedation, twilight anesthesia, general anesthesia). He is very experienced and highly trained in bone grafting, corrective jaw, and oral pathology procedures.

Dr. Baptist is a second generation dentist who continued his training to become an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. After dental school, he completed a four-year hospital residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center. He is also the treasurer of the Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He’s a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.

Dr. Baptist is a local resident and has two vibrant children with his wonderful wife. They enjoy family trips to the zoo, city museums, and theaters as well as international travel. Dr. Baptist is an automotive enthusiast, home improvement do-it-yourselfer, and enthusiastic reader.
