MEDICAL CAREER
After completing her BS degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Dr. Vladana moved to Massachusetts to pursue a dual degree Masters in Medical Science and International Public Health at Boston University School of Medicine.
She attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2010. While at Tufts, Dr. Vladana received a merit scholarship, given yearly for top academic performance, the Clinical Excellence in Endodontics Award and recognition on the Dean’s Honor Roll for her performance on the National Board Dental Examination. While enrolled at Tufts, she traveled to 3M/ESPE headquarters in Seefeld, Germany to focus on dental materials research and presented her findings at several dental meetings.
Dr. Vladana moved to Chicago to pursue her passion for endodontics and completed her post-doctorate advanced specialty training in endodontics at University of Illinois–Chicago College of Dentistry in 2012. During her residency, Dr. Vladana completed extensive research on the comparison of CBCT and digital radiography for the diagnosis of endodontic lesions. She continues her affiliation with the UIC Department of Endodontics and is currently the Director of Alumni Relations.
PROFESSIONAL LIFE AND LAURELS
Dr. Vladana is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, Illinois State Dental Society and Serbian American Medical and Dental Society. She is co-director of the Windy City Seminars-Seattle Study Club, which focuses on continuing education and interdisciplinary treatment planning for general dentists and specialists. Dr. Vladana is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics (ABE).
Incisal Edge Magazine awarded Dr. Vladana with the 40 Under 40 Award in 2013 and in 2017 she received Chicago Magazine’s Top Dentist Award.
