Dr. Lauren Allegretti grew up in Park Ridge, IL. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. After graduating from U of I, Dr. Allegretti continued her education at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and received her DDS degree. She had an interest in endodontics throughout dental school and received awards for both clinical and academic excellence. Dr. Allegretti returned to University of Illinois at Chicago to obtain her Masters of Oral Sciences degree and her Certificate of Specialty in Endodontics. Her Masters research involved the use of three-dimensional imaging to evaluate healing of upper back teeth after endodontic microsurgery when the sinus is also affected. She is currently an adjunct clinical professor at the dental school through the Department of Endodontics

Dr. Allegretti is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, Arcolian Dental Arts Society, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Allegretti is also a Diplomate (board-certified member) of the American Board of Endodontics. In her free time she enjoys Pilates, spending time with her family, and catching up with friends.
